June 19th can only mean one thing: it's iPhone 3G S day. We've been in New York City this morning to check out the queues and crowds outside Apple's 5th Avenue flagship store.

The lines may be less impressive than in previous years, but we've a feeling that's down to many people pre-ordering for home delivery.  Apple changed their tactics for 2009, switching back to allowing individual iTunes activation at home rather than demanding buyers stop by an Apple or AT&T store.

Later on this morning we'll be meeting with an Apple VP to discuss the launch and talk about what makes the iPhone 3G S special.  Plus we'll have our own hands-on first impressions with the smartphone, together with live photos and video.  Keep reading iPhone Buzz!

AT&T promised that it'll offer MMS on the iPhone after getting some system upgrades done, but according to Engadget, "seems that it works right now -- if you've got a build of OS 3.0 that'll let it." The site's tipster sent screenshoots that indicate both MMS and tethering are in full effect on the network.

Get iPhone 3GS with insurance from Best Buy

Are you getting ready to grab the new iPhone next Friday? Might be you'll love this news. Since AT&T wouldn't offer insurance for any iPhone, seems Best Buy's offering is worth purchasing. For some peace of mind, of course.

Normal cell phone insurance via Best Buy will cost you anywhere from $7 to $10 a month. Not the case with iPhone 3G S, Best Buy has raised this fee to a cool $15 a month. This premium fee is most likely due to the full retail price of the 3G S being so high at $599 and $699.

Good news is that this insurance will cover all sorts of damage - liquid damage, cracked screens, cracked casing, etc… All you have to do is bring your damaged iPhone into any Best Buy, they will fix it or replace your device on the spot.
